Refund Policy

Last Updated: 23 Feb. 2026

Introduction

This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may or may not be issued by MTA Clinic (“the Clinic”, “we”, “us”).

Due to the medical nature of aesthetic treatments, particularly injectable procedures, strict policies apply regarding payments and refunds. By booking and attending an appointment, clients acknowledge and agree to this Refund Policy.

All treatments provided are professional medical services delivered by a qualified healthcare practitioner. Payment reflects clinical expertise, professional time, medical assessment and the use of regulated products.

Nature of Medical Aesthetic Treatments

Injectable treatments such as Botulinum Toxin, Dermal Fillers, Skin Boosters, Profhilo and other advanced aesthetic procedures are classified as medical interventions.

Once administered:

  • Products cannot be returned or reused

  • Prescription-only medicines cannot legally be refunded

  • Clinical time and professional expertise have been delivered

  • The treatment cannot be “undone” in the same way as retail goods

For these reasons, refunds are not provided once treatment has been performed.

No Refunds After Treatment Administration

After treatment has been administered:

  • Full payment remains due

  • No refunds will be issued based on dissatisfaction

  • No refunds will be issued due to temporary swelling, bruising or healing-related effects

  • No refunds will be issued due to product longevity variations

Clients acknowledge that aesthetic outcomes vary and that payment covers professional service rather than a guaranteed visual result.

Product Longevity & Metabolism

The longevity of dermal fillers and other injectable products varies depending on:

  • Individual metabolic rate

  • Treatment area

  • Lifestyle factors (exercise, smoking, sun exposure)

  • Hormonal influences

  • Skin type and condition

The Clinic does not guarantee specific duration of results. Variations in longevity do not constitute grounds for refund.

Deposits

Where deposits are required:

  • Deposits secure your allocated appointment time

  • Deposits are non-refundable

  • Deposits may be forfeited for late cancellation or non-attendance

Deposits reflect reserved clinical time that cannot be reallocated at short notice.

Cancellations Before Treatment

If a client cancels with appropriate notice (minimum 48 hours):

  • Deposits may be transferred to a future appointment

  • No additional fee will be charged

If cancellation occurs within less than 48 hours:

  • The deposit may be forfeited

  • Repeated late cancellations may require full prepayment for future bookings

Medical Contraindications Identified at Consultation

If treatment cannot proceed due to a medical contraindication identified during consultation and no product has been administered:

  • A refund may be issued at the Clinic’s discretion

  • If prescription medication has already been ordered specifically for the client, this may not be refundable

Patient safety takes priority over proceeding with treatment.

Adverse Events & Complications

In rare cases where a genuine medical complication occurs:

  • The Clinic will provide appropriate clinical follow-up

  • Corrective management will be assessed case-by-case

  • Refunds are not automatically issued for complications

Medical management and patient safety take precedence over financial reimbursement.

Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer protection law.

However, aesthetic medical treatments are considered services rather than goods, and once the service has been delivered, it cannot be reversed or refunded.

Discretion

The Clinic reserves the right to review exceptional circumstances individually. Any goodwill adjustments are made solely at the discretion of the Clinic and do not set precedent.
